County Vice President - Paul Thomas
County Chairman: Avril Hardwick, Llanbadarn Fynydd YFC
Vice Chairman: Fiona Abberley, Rhayader YFC
This committee is made up of Club Officials, Members and Ex County Officials as well as co opted supporters of the organisation.
By coming to County Executive meetings you can make your voice heard, represent the views of your clubs and tell the County what you as members want from your County.
It is where the main decisions are made after consulting the clubs and where you can make a difference. It is where the Activities, Young Members and Social and Development Committees decisions are discussed at more length to make sure that everyone is happy and then approved.
Events such as the Chairman's Ball and fund raising events are discussed here. Some events may have sub committees formed to discuss events in more detail.
Radnor YFC - Board of Management Committee
Chairman: Mal Thomas
Vice Chairman: Reg Cawthorn
The committee is made up of County Officials as well as people asked by the Federation to help guide and support the County in matters such as Policy making, Health and Safety, Funding, Insurance and our Service Level Agreement with Powys County Council.
Radnor YFC - Activities Committee
Chairman: Lynwen Thomas, Rhayader YFC
Vice Chairman: Dan Price, Knighton YFC
This is the committee that decide about competitions and events that are put on for members. For example Public Speaking, Drama, Entertainment and Pantomime competitions as well as Field Day and the Rally. Larger events such as Field Day and the Rally will have a sub committee to discuss the events in greater detail i.e. who to ask to judge competitions. This is the committee to come to if you would like to suggest a new competition or changes to existing competitions. Or just have your say, it is your County after all.
Radnor YFC - Young Members Committee
Chairman: Laura Watson, Llanbadarn Fynydd YFC
Vice Chairman: John James, Howey YFC
The Youth Forum is the committee for members within the federation under the age of 18. Three members from each of the clubs meet regularly to discuss issues that affect the younger members within the County. A Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Secretary are elected each year. We organise trips and fundraising events to promote the work of the younger members, as well as being the sub-committee that advises all the other sub-committees on the views of the younger members within the organisation. Recently, the Youth Forum have organised trips to Rugby matches in Cardiff, and a residential trip to London, which have been very enjoyable, as well as taking part in everything from selling glow sticks to milk-drinking races, to raise money for the committee!
Radnor YFC- Social and Development Committee
Chairman: Jolene Powell, Rhayader YFC
Vice Chairman: James Evans, Rhosgoch YFC
This committee was set up three years ago for members to get involved and organise trips for example to Wales rugby match, Pub crawls, Cheltenham races, National AGM warm ups as well as a trip to Canada. To organise fund raising events for the County as well as to fund the trips and events that they organise, such as duck races and a naked calendar! This year the S and D Committee arranged a rodeo sheep for the Rally Dance.
