General Rules

General Rally Rules


1) All competitors must be currently paid up members. Competitors will be required to show their
membership cards. Failure to do so will result in a £5 on the spot penalty charge. Members can get their £5 refunded as long as membership card is brought into YFC office within 5 working days.

2) White coats don’t need to be worn in classes 1, 2, 17, 18, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 37, 38, 41. In all other classes, members must wear white coats. In the classes that require a white coat, if the Competitor is not wearing a white coat he/she will have 10 marks deducted from their overall marks.

3) Each member may enter a maximum of four competitions (Classes), excluding the Main Ring Display. This does not include entry in any Pre-Rally competitions.

4) For the purpose of the Rally, the following age limits will apply:
26 years of age and under, 21 years of age and under, 18 years of age and under, 16 years of age and under and 14 years of age on the 1st September 2009.

5) Any member failing to be present at a competition at the given time may be penalised at the
discretion of the judges, unless taking part in another competition. It is up to the Chief Steward of his/her club to inform the stewards, if a member of their club is already involved in another competition.

6) Competitors will be disqualified if they contact the public by speech or sign while a competition is in
progress or talk with each other in the stock judging rings. Stewards will be required to warn competitors
and then to report the incident to the elected Complaints Panel for decision.

7) Each Club to appoint their own Chief Steward ~ a non-competing person who will be responsible for informing competition Stewards and Announcers if a competitor is late reporting for a competition or will not be reporting at all. Name of Chief Steward to be included on entry form.

8) For the overall Rally Shield, clubs entering all competitions will have their four lowest competition marks deducted.

9) Matters relating to any of the Competitions (rules, etc.) must be received in writing by 11 May 2010
and will be discussed by the Activities Committee. Should it be necessary, any amendments to
the rules following this meeting will be circulated to clubs.

Following this date no correspondence / discussion can be entered into and the rules will stand.

10) Special requirements - If any member has any special requirements when competing in a competition, then please do not hesitate to contact the county office, if possible a week before the competition is due to take place.

11) Where applicable all winners at the Rally will have the opportunity to represent Radnor YFC at the Royal Welsh Show and National Competitions Day.

12) In all competitions, the Judges decision is final, and no harassment is to be given to the Judges by any YFC Member or General Public.

13) All trestle tables will be 6 or 8 foot.

14) All exhibits must be left on view to the public until 5.00 pm when they can then be removed. If removed before 5pm, clubs will be placed 20 points below the lowest placed club in that competition.

15) Radnor YFC will not be held responsible for any items left on display.

16) Members turning up late for the first competitions of the day, will be given no extra time to complete the competition. There will be zero tolerance on this rule. No excuses.

17) No electric will be available for competitors on the day - excluding the shearing classes.

RULES: RE: TOTAL DISQUALIFICATION

A) If a competitor is found to be over the stated age, this will lead to total disqualification.

B) The County Chairman and the Activities Chairman have the right to disqualify any competitor
should they feel that the person is under the influence of alcohol.

C) Rules: Re: Deduction of points beforehand.
Items that are required for judging beforehand must be in on the date stated. Any late entry
will result in a deduction of ten points per day.

D) Infringement of Rules
Any infringement of the rules will result in a competitor being placed at the bottom with a
difference of ten points to the next highest placed competitor.

E) Complaints to be received in writing and accompanied by £10 and handed to the County
Organiser within one hour of the alleged grievance. A panel will give ruling. If the complaint
is upheld the £10 will be refunded.
